A sample PageCub illustration of Aurelia at bedtime

Not Sleepy Yet

Aurelia was NOT sleepy. Not even a little bit. She stood in her favorite yellow dress and her rainbow rainboots. Her brown hair tumbled past her shoulders, curling at the tips, half of it flopping right over one eye the way it always did. She bounced on her toes. She wiggled her fingers. She made a silly face at her stuffed bunny. "Bedtime, sweet girl!" Mama called from the doorway. Aurelia's big blue-grey eyes went wide. Her mouth stretched into the biggest grin you ever saw, the kind that showed her one special dimple on her right cheek. "But Mama," she said, "I can't go to bed yet!"

About Aurelia

You'll notice most of our examples follow the same little girl, Aurelia. That's my daughter. I originally built PageCub because I wanted to make her books - stories built around whatever she was going through, whatever she was into, whatever she couldn't find on the shelf. She was the first reader. She still is.
